My name is Erin Zimmerman and I am the founder of The Paper Panda!

I have loved writing and storytelling from a very young age. I started writing in high school and have continued to write into my adult years. I graduated from Eastern University with a Bachelor’s in English with a writing focus. I went on to become a Secondary English Language Arts teacher in the public school system. As a teacher, I was able to work with a wide variety of young people and help create an exciting environment to explore the art of storytelling as well as help strengthen their writing skills. One of the classes that I taught was AP Language and Composition to help students prepare for academic writing and analysis. Being able to share my passion and enthusiasm for the written word and engaging storytelling has been the highlight of my career.

As a senior in high school, I had a poem published in the National Congress of Library Anthology. In college, a nonfiction article I wrote for elementary school students was published in a summer reading anthology. I am currently working on my own novel, “The Dog,” as well.

I have been married for twenty years to my wonderful husband, Zach. We live in the beautiful rolling hills of Pennsylvania with our two cats, Abby and Theo, and a flock of four chickens, Sophia, Dorothy, Blanche, and Rose.
